Kickstarter Fulfillment Complete & Freak War Opens to the Public

Hey Freak War backers!
After a long journey from campaign to creation, we're excited to share that all Kickstarter orders have now been shipped.
Every standard pledge, add-on, and custom item has now been packed and sent out to its rightful owner.
To our knowledge, the only remaining item is a single international shipment currently being resolved with a backer in Brazil, and we're working directly with them to make sure it arrives safely. If anyone else has experienced any issues, please let us know.
But for all intents and purposes… Freak War has officially crossed the finish line of Kickstarter fulfillment.
We are incredibly grateful for your patience and support throughout this process. Indie projects like this only exist because of backers who believe in them early, and you made Freak War possible.

Freak War Has Arrived & Fulfillment Is Underway!

Hey Freak War backers!
All remaining Freak War product is officially in Nate's hands. This is the milestone we've been working toward, and it means final fulfillment is now actively underway.
What's Happening Right Now
Nate is currently working on the hand-drawn Doodle Cards. He is also packing and preparing shipments for remaining backers. Orders will begin going out once they are completed.
Important Address Update Information
Some backers will receive an email from BackerKit asking them to confirm or update their mailing address. This email is ONLY being sent to backers who have not received any part of their order yet.

Freight In Transit & Next Steps for Final Fulfillment

Hey Freak War backers!
I’m excited to share some encouraging progress, especially for those of you still waiting on your rewards or special cards.
Where Things Stand
All remaining Freak War product is officially on its way via freight to our North American logistics facility. From there, a carrier will pick it up and deliver it directly to Nate Galbraith (Freak War’s creator & designer).
Once Nate receives everything, he’ll begin shipping to any remaining or partially fulfilled backers himself.
Estimated Timeline
Freight is currently traveling from China to Canada. We’re estimating roughly 4-5 weeks in transit, depending on customs and the upcoming holiday season, which can sometimes slow things down a bit.
After the shipment arrives at the logistics facility, it will be transferred to Nate, typically within about one additional week, though we’ll keep you posted if that changes.
What This Means Once Nate Has Everything
When Nate has all the product in hand, he will also finally have:
- All blank cards for completing remaining Doodle Cards (hand-drawn)
- All Custom Art Copycat Cards
- All Exclusive 1-of-1 Cards (Fairy Cards and other unique pieces)
This means any missing or incomplete backer rewards can be finished and sent out properly all from one location, under Nate’s direct oversight.
Looking Ahead
While freight logistics always come with a few variables, this marks a major turning point. Once the product lands safely with Nate, fulfillment will be entirely in our hands, and we can finally close the loop for every last backer.

What’s Next for the Last Freak War Backers

Hey Freak War backers,
It's been a little while since our last update, and I want to bring everyone fully up to speed (especially those of you still waiting for your rewards).
The Big Picture
The vast majority of backers are fulfilled! Over 245 orders have been delivered, and only about 20 remain (of those who have locked their orders). However, we had hoped EVERYONE would have Freak War by now, so we're so grateful for your support and patience.
What's Been Happening Behind the Scenes
Communication and follow-through from our fulfillment partner have unfortunately continued to be very slow. They sent us the photo below (showing the remaining cartons prepared for freight) along with this note:
"I am still pushing overseas agent to advise the cost to door.
Will advise the quotations for ocean & air as soon as I get their response."
That was the last update we received. Since then, we've had no confirmed movement or timeline, and we don't want to leave anyone else waiting in uncertainty.
Our Plan Going Forward
After a lot of discussion, Nate Galbraith (Freak War’s creator/designer) and I have decided that he will take possession of all remaining product so we can complete fulfillment ourselves.
This means any remaining backer copies—including those few still waiting in the "second wave"—will be shipped directly from Nate once the product is in his hands.
Future live orders will also go through him to ensure faster, clearer communication.
About the Custom & 1-of-1 Cards
Part of what prompted this decision was the mix-up with the Doodle Cards and 1-of-1 Cards.
Some wrong items were sent our way, causing more delays for higher-tier backers.
By moving fulfillment to Nate, we'll make sure these unique, hand-drawn and custom cards are handled correctly from start to finish.
Moving Forward with Gratitude
We know this process hasn't been as smooth as any of us hoped. Still, it's been incredible to see hundreds of copies of Freak War already out in the world, being played, shared, and enjoyed. For those last few waiting, thank you for hanging in there just a little longer.

Unexpected Update! I Got My Copy (No Tracking?)

Hey Freak War backers,
A quick (and unexpected) update from me today.
I received my own copy—without tracking
I personally received my copy of Freak War today in California, USA—without ever receiving a tracking email.
I’m excited to finally have it in hand, but I also recognize how frustrating that lack of communication feels.
If you’ve been in the dark too, I hear you.
You might not get tracking (but you'll get your game)
Orders seem to be arriving before/without tracking info being sent, and I, as the publisher, still have no clear response for why that is, unfortunately.
That’s not the experience we want for you, and I’m sorry for the confusion this has caused.
Second shipment wave in progress
If you haven’t received your game yet, our fulfillment partner is still processing the second batch for backers who completed shipping after the original deadline.
Thank you for your continued patience as those go out.
Improving fulfillment going forward
To ensure clearer communication and faster responses, we’re working to move all remaining product from our current fulfillment partner directly to Nate Galbraith (Freak War’s creator/designer).
Nate will fulfill any remaining backer orders still outstanding beyond the second batch.
After backers are fully fulfilled, he’ll also handle new/live orders.

Nate is expecting all blank cards shortly (he initially received only one!), so he can complete:
